This week I had the pleasure of meeting Summer, a freshman at CSULB that is on the path to becoming a drug counselor/interventionist for addicts. This major appealed to her after taking a psychology class and learning about all the opportunities for careers it offers. Dorming, she taught me, is terrible because not being close to her family. After being away from her family for this long, she feels that the best decision for her would be to move back home and go to a school closer to there. It will be sad not to see Summer again but I feel that this decision is best especially because I do commute and leave with my family, so I can’t imagine being on my own yet. Summer is the type of person that is easy to get along with and if you talk to much will listen to every word.
